Mykolas Romeris University
[The location of this university lies in Lithuania, specifically the regions of Kaunas and Vilnius. It is an international university, which provides a high standard of education in social sciences disciplines, setting it as the leading interdisciplinary research University in the country. MRU operates in tandem with close to 300 universities, in a network that enhances all the private and public institutions and this places MRU in a particular position among the universities in Lithuania. The university was awarded a full membership with many organizations dedicated to improving high education. Those include The European University Association, International Association of Universities, and the European-Asian Knowledge Consortium Social Technologies for Smart and Inclusive Society.
Close to 700 academic staff and 9000 students operate in MRU. There are over 100 programs for bachelor, masters, and doctoral studies. Additionally, more than 80% of such programs are internationally accredited. Public administration and security, social work, psychology, management and laws are highly popular programs in MRU. The previous fields, in addition to economics, host close to 200 students aiming for a doctoral accreditation.
There are many faculty structures in the University. Those include the Faculty of Politics and Management, Faculty of Economics and Finance Management, Faculties of Social Welfare and Law, Faculty of Public Security, then there’s a Business and Media School Faculty. High degrees of innovation and research are what is implemented in the university’s Social Innovations Laboratory Network. MRU’s lab network hosts 19 laboratories in addition to the Research and Innovation Support Centre.
